Greetings! I'm Vakhtang Balavadze—a dedicated professional, academic, and visionary.

Born on August 23, 1978, into a family of civil engineers in Tbilisi, I carry the legacy as a third-generation civil engineer.

Delving into academia, I earned a Ph.D. in Technical Sciences from the Georgian Technical University, focusing on Structural Mechanics.

As an academician, I currently serve as a Professor of Civil Engineering at Ilia State University, directing research centers and spearheading the Civil Engineering Bachelor Programs. My commitment extends globally as an Adjunct Professor at San Diego State University Georgia.

In the dynamic field of civil engineering, I co-founded HVL Engineering firm in Prague and direct the operations of Georgian Engineering Business Group (GEBG) in Tbilisi. Since 2014, I've been offering consulting engineering services.

My journey encompasses influential roles in politics and civil service, notably as the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, State Governor, and Member of Parliament. Recognized for my contributions, I received the esteemed Presidential Order of Excellence in 2013.
